Faith Is Not always Easy!

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12 NLT)

Heaven Is My Real Home

As I get older, knowing that I have lived a lot more years than I have left, I often have thoughts about Heaven! This is such an amazing thing! God designed the earth for us so it could sustain life and we could live here. But He also designed Heaven for us, and He wants us to live there with Him forever.

The Bible says in Matthew 25:34, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world” (NLT). From the very beginning, God knew that there would be more to life than just this life on Earth. As much as I enjoy my earthly home, I’m looking forward to my heavenly home.

There’s more to life than just here and now. Today the life span for Americans is 79.8 years. However long we live, we are going to spend those years on this planet, but you can spend eternity — trillions and trillions and trillions of years — living in Heaven with God.

Ephesians 1:10 says, “This was his purpose: that when the time is ripe he will gather us all together from wherever we are — in heaven or on earth — to be with him in Christ forever” (TLB).

You were made to last forever. The question is, where will you last forever: Heaven or Hell?

You get to choose which door you go through at the end of your life. Hebrews 13:14 says, “For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come” (NLT). Once you become a part of God’s family, there’s a whole lot more to life than just here and now.

If you were to drop dead this moment, are you absolutely certain you will go to Heaven? If you’re not, you can make sure right now. Why put it off? You need to settle this issue, and you need to put your trust in God’s plan for your salvation. You need to accept his free gift of eternal life. You can pray a prayer like this today if you are ready to invite Jesus Christ into your life as your Savior and Lord:

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Your only Son, Jesus Christ, shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Word, Romans 10:9 “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and Lord. I’m claiming the words in Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Thank You Lord for saving me.
