Faith Is Not always Easy!

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12 NLT)

ďCarefully Joined Together In Him - We Are God's Family"

I like what the Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:19-22, "So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of Godís holy people. You are members of Godís family. Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.  We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.  Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit." (NLT)

An effective, vibrant, and growing church that shares the Gospel, resulting in transformed lives, is no accident. It takes an intentional commitment to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). Since Springtime is nearing, I am already planning my tomato garden. Harvesting those beautiful red tomatoes is no accident. I have to intentionally plant, fertilize, water, and cultivate them. The same is true with our church, your church. When a group of people intentionally stand together with Jesus as their cornerstone, the Holy Spirit as their guide, and trust God and work together for that outcome, we reap a great harvest, whether it is a building project or sharing the Gospel with the people we come in contact with. It must be intentional. The reality is that there are more unchurched people in our communities today than ever before. And itís almost impossible to watch the news without seeing acts of hatred, political bickering, or even possible military response. I have never known a greater need for the churches of Jesus Christ to have a voice than in todayís climate, so letís stand together in unity and work for His purposes. We must stand on the values that are foundational to the Church of Jesus Christ. "Dear Heavenly Father, although we are living in desperate days, You have a kingdom that cannot be shaken. I choose to trust in and rely on You. May Your Church rise up and be the Body of Christ in our communities and around the world. May Your purposes be our purposes and fulfilled on the earth. In Jesusí Name I pray, Amen."
