Searching for God
Psalm 63 is a Psalm of King David,
regarding a time when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
“O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My
soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in
this parched and weary land where there is no water.”
(Psalm 63:1 NLT)
David was running from his own son,
drove his dad, King David, out of
Jerusalem, out of his palace, away from the temple, and
out into the wilderness. God used this experience to
bring out the best of David in the worst of times.
There have been times in my life
that I, like David, have cried out for God’s presence
and help. He is always faithful, always present. I have
discovered that being
hungry for His presence and desiring to be in the
presence of the Lord on a daily basis should be our
greatest priority… just to be with Him and seek His
presence with all our hearts. Jesus wants to make the
presence of God real to us.
in him we live and move and exist."
(Acts 17:28 NLT)
I’m glad I belong to God. He is
faithful. He is good.
