Faith Is Not always Easy!

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12 NLT)

“What The Bible Says About Heaven"

The older I get, the more certain I am that there is no greater destination for me than Heaven. The Bible says about Heaven, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” .(1 Corinthians 2:9b NLT)
I begin each day with the prayer that God will help me be sensitive to the opportunities He provides for me to share the Gospel, wherever it is! It might be in the elevator, doctor’s office, or patient waiting room. The Bible tells us how to be made alive in Christ, (how to be saved). In Ephesians 2:8-9 the Bible says, “
God saved you by his grace when you believed.  And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” (NLT)

So how do you come to God in faith? For years, I have used the following acrostic:

A: Admit you need a Savior. You can’t get to God on your own. You’re a sinner. You’ve blown it. Heaven is perfect, and you’re not.
B: Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31a).
C: Confess your sin. Tell God you’re sorry that you’ve done wrong, and repent (turn from your sinful ways). The Bible says in 1 John 1:9, “
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (NLT)
D: Depend upon God’s promise in John 3:16: “For God so loved
the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (NKJV). No matter what you’ve done or how long you’ve done it, God promises that whosoever believes in him won’t perish.

Have you ever committed your life to Jesus and secured your place in Heaven? If not, what is keeping you from doing that? If you have trusted Christ as Savior and Lord, who can you tell this week about how they can get to Heaven?
